As I finish the Instructional Technology Program, I want to share my thoughts and feelings towards the ITEC 7555- Mobile Learning for the 21st Century Learner course. First of all, let me explain a little about the course. This elective course provides candidates with practice and opportunities integrating mobile applications into any course. Topics include evaluating mobile apps in P-12 education, researching mobile apps, troubleshooting hardware and software, universal design for learning, identifying mobile apps in Apple anf Google Play Stores for educational value, and Mobile App Reviews for Implementation. Basically, the course provides a widespread overview of a variety of mobile apps and how to evaluate and design lessons for implementation, as well as creating mobile app products and assessments. Additionally, the course's relevance is in providing teachers with the pedagogical knowledge to explore educational value of apps in a society in which students and teachers alike have widespread access to mobile devices and use them daily. For me, the course was refreshing and enjoyable. I liked learning about and exploring different apps and their educational value. I would recommend this course for anyone who is new to technology integration- or anyone who wants to explore mobile apps on a P-12 scale for every subject. Below is a presentation I created for one of the course assignments.
